KeyShot 5 Pro will be be digitally delivered to you. Within 1 or 2 working days from your purchase you will receive an e-mail with your Licensing Information and instructions on how to download and activate the software.
KeyShot 5 Pro is a stand-alone 3D rendering and animation application that operates side by side your 3D modeling application. Rather than putting KeyShot 5 Pro inside the 3D modeling software, Luxion provide a more flexible approach with three levels of integration to import and render your design.
New in This Version
Among the most important updates is new support for SolidWorks 2015 file format on both Mac and PC. This allows SolidWorks users to import SolidWorks 2015 files directly from the KeyShot interface. The updated KeyShot plug-in for SolidWorks also supports import of SolidWorks files with LiveLinking to send geometry updates over to KeyShot. The plug-in is available free of charge and can be downloaded from the KeyShot website here. Additional updates include optimizations to motion blur, color accuracy, focused caustics and visibility of emissive material.
Patterns have been completely updated with KeyShot 5 Pro adding the ability to Edit Patterns, set Scattering and automatically adjust the camera and the pattern is created.
Six new KeyShot Procedural Textures are available in KeyShot 5 Pro, including Brushed (3D), Camouflage (3D), Lattice Circular (2D), Lattice Polygon (2D), Spots (3D) and Wood Adv. (3D).
Create multiple camera views and environment Viewsets in KeyShot 5 Pro, then add all saved Cameras and Viewsets to the Render Queue in a single click.
Exclusive access to the full line of Sørensen Leather materials through KeyShot Cloud, allowing colors and textures to be matched exactly with the hides.
KeyShot 5 Pro runs natively on Mac OS X and now comes with Retina Display support for all Apple displays, including Macbook Pro laptops and iMac 5k displays.
New 3D Format Support
KeyShot 5 Pro now supports PTC Creo 3.0 with an updated plugin and delivers new import capabilities for Maxon’s CINEMA 4D file format including import of part and camera animations.

How it Works
KeyShot 5 Pro is the fastest and easiest to use 3D rendering and animation software available. In just a few steps you can create amazing looking images from your 3D models that can be used throughout the product development process to make design decisions and quickly create variations of concepts for customer, manufacturing or marketing.
Step 1: Import your 3D model
With KeyShot 5 Pro open, import your BIP files, Alias WIRE, PTC Creo, Rhinoceros, SketchUp, SolidWorks, Solid Edge, Pro/ENGINEER, IGES, STEP, OBJ, 3DS, COLLADA, and FBX data directly. KeyShot 5 Pro supports the most popular formats and has plugins for a few of them also.
Step 2: Paint your model
Use any of the 700+ scientifically accurate materials from the material library by simply copying and pasting them onto the model. You will instantly see what your design will look like, with the given material, color, and finish, under the current lighting conditions.
Step 3: Choose your lighting
Simply select an environment image (HDRI). As soon as you change the lighting environment you will notice the effect the real world lighting captured in those environments has on materials, colors and finishes.
Step 4: Adjust your camera
Framing your scene is just like using a real camera. You can change angle, distance and twist. You can control perspective with focal length and field of view settings and you can easily add depth of field to your scene.
Step 5: Adjust your background
Quickly and interactively cycle through colors, choose from pre-loaded photos, or set your own images as the background for your shot.
Step 6: Enjoy the perfect picture
You are done! From start to finish, a simple six step process to beautiful images, all happening in real-time – right in front of your eyes.
