MDX-20 Scanning and Milling Machine

I have been using the MDX-20 since 2004 to generate 3D scans and output rapid prototype parts from my 3D design software (Rhino). The scan mode lets me capture a hand formed or found object open the 3D scan mesh in Rhino. In Rhino I am able to build onto the scan mesh and when my design is complete I switch the machine to mill mode and cut a prototype part or mold. So far I have cut wood and plastic parts. I also cut urethane foam to make a mold to pour silicone parts. The machine is very simple to operate with the included scan and mill software and it fits right on my desktop next to my PC. The MDX-20 is the same as the MDX-15 but offers a larger work area of 6 x 8 inches so I think it is a bettter fit for my work.
