PLT Import for IntelliCAD

PLT Import for IntelliCAD is a Hewlett-Packard Graphics Language (HPGL) plot PLT file import plug-in for IntelliCAD powered applications. This plug-in gives IntelliCAD powered applications the ability to import geometric data from HPGL PLT files.

PLT is the Hewlett-Packard Graphics Language designed for specifying 2D graphical information for the HP range of plotters. It was not intended as an interchange format but some software suppliers use it as such. PLT is a command set embedded in the ROM of pen plotters to help reduce the work required by applications programmers to create plotted output. PLT uses two-letter mnemonics as instructions for drawing lines, circles, text, and simple symbols. PLT plot files contain information regarding the movement of the pen of the HP plotter. PLT Import for IntelliCAD converts these pen movements into corresponding entities and adds them to the active drawing.

PLT Import for IntelliCAD is very easy to use as it adds a new command to the IntelliCAD powered application called "PLTImport". Simply type "PLTImport" at the command prompt and select a PLT plot PLT file to import into the active drawing.

The 'PLTImport' menu consists of the following commands:

• PLTImport - Imports a PLT file.
• PLTImportHelp - Displays the PLT Import for IntelliCAD help file.
• PLTImportRegister - Registers your copy of PLT Import for IntelliCAD.
• PLTImportAbout - Displays the PLT Import for IntelliCAD About box
