ASCON today announced that long-time development partner Rubius’ new role as a developer of CAD systems and applications based on ASCON’s C3D kernel. The partnership between ASCON and Rubius stems from years of collaboration between the two software developers.Rubius specialists proved their experience in CAM development through their development of the parametric solid modeling module embedded in ESPRIT CAM. The add-on, called SubDivFormer, is available now free of charge through Google play store. A distinctive feature of the new tool - its versatility. SubDivFormer can be used both for engineering design and for children play.The SubDivFormer release became a first ASCON step in entering the market of digital-design and product form design solutions on mobile devices. ASCON welcomes 3D application developers who work with alternative operation systems to try out the beta version of the C3D kernel.“The Linux version of C3D kernel is another step in providing a broad range of code to our external developers,” said Oleg Zykov, innovation project manager at ASCON. “Currently, the product is in its beta testing stage, but functionally it is equal to the Windows-based version. ASCON today announced its official partnership with the KAMAZ Master sport truck rally team. The agreement of cooperation was signed between Maxim Bogdanov, CEO of ASCON Group, and Vladimir Chagin, manager of KAMAZ Motorsports. Mr Chagin is already legendary as the head of KAMAZ Master, the seven-time winner in the truck class of the Dakar marathon road rally.The ASCON logo will be placed on all of KAMAZ Master's sport trucks and technical support vehicles.
